The overall style of your wedding dress or gown should dictate the appropriate jewelry you choose. So, When looking for the perfect jewelry to complement your wedding gown, take into consideration the cut and embelishments of your dress.

A low cut gown or dress that is sleeveless, allows for more space on your chest and arms that may be decorated with an ornate necklace, earrings and bracelet.

A high cut may be more appropriate for a very simple, single or double strand necklace.
If you wear an ornate tiara, you may want to skip a necklace all together and focus on a pretty pair of earrings and a bracelet.

A single or double strand crystal and or pearl necklace, with or without matching, or well coordinated earrings would be the perfect companion to a gown that has a very large pattern with sequins and pearls, as would a crystal and or a pearl pendant on a silver or gold chain. The same is true for your choice of a head band, tiara or other hair accessory. If yours is a very simple dress or gown with the only accents being in the cut and styling of the fabric you may consider more elaborate jewelry.

A tiara, necklace and other jewelry with much detail works well with dresses that don't have beadwork.

Once you decide of your preference, make sure that your jewelry as well as your tiara or other hair accessories coordinate. If you do not purchase all of your jewelry and hair accessories as a set, assure that all the pieces have a common denominators within the design, shape, colors, styles and stones. You should follow the same when choosing jewelry as your gift for the bridesmaids, flower girl(s), mothers, and maid of honor. Unless you choose a string of pearls, a string of clear crystal jewelry or silver or gold Jewelry, the perfect jewelry for them should coordinate well and have at least one stone in the color of their dresses.
